Testimonials

Desert Aire loves hearing from our happy residents. Check out some of our testimonials below:

We purchased our tiny home, in DA, right after retiring. It was a longtime dream, to escape from the cold winter months in Alberta, Canada. In so doing, we have made many wonderful friends, been involved in a variety of activities and committees that DA offers, explored numerous places in the Valley, and we never seem to be at a loss of what to do. Keeping active here, is so enjoyable.

Desert Aire is a perfect winter “home away from home”.  It is a community of friendly, welcoming people with a variety of activities available.  The beautiful landscape, canals and green grass throughout the Park make Desert Aire truly one of the best Parks in the Valley.  We feel fortunate to have found such an amazing place to call our winter home!

We purchased a lot in Desert Aire six years ago and have loved being part of this community.  One of the things we like is the volunteerism.  This was highlighted during the Covid crisis.  With only a third of our homeowners in the park everyone pitched in wherever they were needed.  It didn’t matter the task, pulling weeds, trimming trees, mowing your neighbor’s yard or picking fruit.  The Desert Aire spirit has been outstanding.

We had no idea what we were going to do after we retired.  We had friends who liked spending winters in their 55+ communities in Arizona and California, so the year before we retired we thought we’d check out the Palm Springs area during our spring break.  After a few days in a similar park, we found we really liked the community lifestyle but we wanted to look around at other parks.  When we drove through the gates at Desert Aire for the first time, we sensed immediately that this park was extra special.  We were welcomed by two homeowners who were incredibly gracious and friendly as they toured us around the clubhouse, encouraging us to buy a unit.  We liked what we saw and experienced.  The next day we came back to look at park models and we made an offer the following day.  We are not impulsive people, but Desert Aire just felt right.  We did not know a soul in the park at that time.  We now had a plan for what we were going to do – where we were going to spend our winters – when we retired the next year.  We have been involved in so many activities and have made so many good friends in our thirteen years at Desert Aire.  Sometimes you just have to follow your gut.

Sometimes you take people and places for granted. Missing this season at Desert Aire reinforced how special this park truly is. The community of residents that become like family are so welcoming and anxious to make everyone feel comfortable. There is a wide variety of entertainment and activities to be involved in which are so successful because of our volunteerism. I am looking forward to Fall when I return to Desert Aire. The blue sky, colorful flowers, palms and sparkling swimming pool are calling me
